Design: Five adult individuals were dissected and pooled to obtain head, thorax or gonad tissue, or single whole adults were used. Total RNA was extracted from pools of 5 individuals for each sample using the Bioline Isolate II RNA Mini Kit (Cat. No. BIO-52073). Poly-A selection, library preparation and RNA-seq were performed on an Illumina HiSeqV4 at Vienna Biocenter Next Generation Sequencing Core Facility.
